At Anable Consulting, we help government work better for the taxpayer.
Our mission is to provide public administration expertise and advisory services that strengthen operational efficiency, enhance fiscal responsibility, and support transparent, accountable governance.
Jared Anable is a seasoned public sector leader and consultant with extensive experience in municipal administration, strategic planning, and fiscal management. As the founder and principal of Anable Consulting LLC, he provides strategic guidance to mayors, councils, boards, and administrators across Texas—helping local governments strengthen operations, improve efficiency, and achieve sustainable results. His work centers on identifying cost-saving opportunities, enhancing accountability, and aligning organizational structures with long-term policy objectives.
Before establishing Anable Consulting, Jared served six years as City Administrator for the City of Martindale, Texas, where he oversaw all municipal operations and guided the city through a period of growth and modernization. Under his leadership, Martindale advanced community-focused initiatives, improved service delivery, and implemented forward-looking financial and administrative systems. He directed city planning and development, negotiated contracts and interlocal agreements, managed the city’s budgets and expenditures, and worked closely with elected officials to achieve strategic goals that balanced fiscal responsibility with community priorities.
In addition to his municipal leadership, Jared has built a distinguished career in the federal government, where he currently serves as a civil servant with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As Branch Chief for Procurement in the Office of Trade at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, he leads contracting activities for trade facilitation and enforcement programs. Prior to this role, he managed advanced border security technology acquisition programs designed to counter weapons of mass destruction, narcotics, and other contraband at U.S. ports of entry. His leadership in innovative project management and acquisition strategy has earned recognition from the Office of Management and Budget, including the Acquisition Excellence Award for his contributions to high-impact federal programs and cost-effective acquisition strategies.
Earlier in his career, Jared consulted at the Pentagon and supported major defense and homeland security initiatives through roles with Mayvin Consulting Group, Akimeka LLC, and MYMIC LLC. His work spanned force modernization efforts, capability development, and policy analysis for the Department of the Army and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Jared also served honorably in the U.S. Army, both on active duty with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and later with the Army National Guard’s 29th Infantry Division, earning distinction for his leadership and service.
Jared holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in State and Local Government from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Eurasian Studies from George Mason University. His academic foundation and professional experience combine to form a unique perspective on governance, law, and public administration—bridging the operational realities and stakeholder expectations of local government.
Throughout his career, Jared has been recognized for his ability to design and implement solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen institutional accountability. His work reflects a deep commitment to public service and a belief that effective governance begins with transparency, collaboration, and sound fiscal stewardship.
